Dynamic kill analysis services examine a variety of well control scenarios with end-to-end visibility of the entire dynamic kill operation. Using Drillbench multiphase flow simulator software, we provide support for well kill modeling and evaluation. Dynamic kill simulations use hydraulic analysis, temperature profile, fluid PVT, and reservoir performance to successfully implement well killing operations.

Specification of a Coupled Geological & Wellbore Fluid Dynamics Model

This paper describes the method and results of a probabilistic risk analysis that was used to provide a quantitative basis for a complex and high-stakes design decision for a subsea oil project. The geological information was coupled to a wellbore fluid dynamics model to simulate operational outcomes for potential well kill operations.

Customized dynamic kill analysis

We assist in successfully implementing well killing operations by using reservoir information and fluid and gas properties inputs. Simulation results are interpreted to create a thorough plan for emergency response to a well control situation.

Software solutions for better decisions

Our engineers use Drillbench, a multiphase transient flow simulation software from the OLGA® suite, to perform dynamic kill analysis for a variety of scenarios. Our engineers have extensive knowledge of fluid dynamics for innovative kill analysis solutions to produce steady state or dynamic kill analyses to determine fluid density and volume, pump rate, pump pressure, and hydraulic horsepower

Accurate modeling for precise analysis

The primary outputs needed for success well kill operations analysis include:

  • Kill fluid density
  • Minimum kill fluid volume
  • Dynamic kill pump rate
  • Dynamic kill pump pressure
  • Dynamic kill hydraulic horsepower
